Last week, I had the distinct honor of interviewing the “Godfather” of west-coast rap music, Jerry Heller. For those of you whom are unfamiliar, Jerry was the man behind the rap group NWA. Ultimately, he was the mastermind responsible for igniting the careers of Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and many more.
Before founding Ruthless Records, he had plenty of experience in the music industry after he served as a booking agent, manager, and producer.
