I never experienced the pleasure of having a personal mentor in business. I learned everything on my own. While that can have its positive outcomes such as becoming a quick learner and more efficient worker, I missed out on priceless information from someone that has been through the process before.
Without anyone to turn to, I did the next best thing. I ALWAYS LEARNED.
I’d read new blogs, take online courses, and PRACTICE what I wanted to improve upon.
There’s no shame in substituting a mentor for a teacher – even if you have to pay for it.
