One Arrow vs. Many Targets

It’s easy to get distracted by the many things we all have going on around us. Whether it’s a constant influx of emails, push notifications on our phone, or simply the unexpected problems that arrive at your office without warning, it has become increasingly more difficult to enter flow and stay on top of your tasks.

Focus is like an arrow. You can only shoot one at a time.

When you fall victim to distraction, you are reserving your one arrow to shoot in that moment. Someone essentially gives you their arrow as they borrow your time temporarily.

It doesn’t matter how fast you can shoot your arrow either. With patience comes precision.

You will forever only be able to shoot one arrow at a time. It’s up to you to ensure that you know your one target when you do.
