Wind Won’t Help

If you don’t know how to sail, a gust of wind won’t help you.

It may allow you to move, but it’s meaningless when the progress was out of your control.

Wind, in this case, is the enemy. While you need it to be successful, too much of it can lead to disaster.

To be a successful sailor, you first need the confidence to learn and board the boat. Then comes the knowledge and the skills. After all of that is in place, you just need a little wind to push you along.

It’s that control, once you have everything in place, that makes sailing so meaningful. You forget that the wind even exists.
