I spent last week in Maine for a wedding. The event, the estate, and the entire state that we drove through was beautiful.
Like most trips, this quick adventure gave me the famous “Grass is always greener” syndrome. There were many moments where I stopped and thought, “I could live here.”
But that happens often when you travel to new places that are so different from where you live. It’s called a getaway or escape for a reason. It’s exciting simply because you’re so unexposed to it.
Maine, though, seems like a candidate for post-retirement. It’s slow-moving and laid back. This makes for the perfect place to relax and take it easy without any responsibilities or concerns.
PS – Not to mention, the lobster isn’t too bad at all either.
