Before you even try to call me out, I know Red Nose Day isn’t until tomorrow. But it wouldn’t be me without being ahead of the trend. This isn’t a post participating in the day. It’s an attention-seeking rant to encourage participation.
Red Nose Day is a campaign dedicated to helping children and having fun. Proceeds benefit children and young people in the US and some of the poorest communities in the world.
I always appreciate when a great deal of effort is put toward a cause. If you poke around the internet, dive deep into Walgreens’ website, or simply visit your local Walgreens store, you’ll see this event being highlighted everywhere.
Not only is the special day promoted on Walgreens site, but of course, it’s overviewed in great detail on its own organizational website.
If you navigate deeper, you’ll find well-made videos that reveal the local benefits your financial donations will bring. There is a video per state, and each state focuses on a children’s group that is making an impact on children’s lives.
Here’s the video for my state of Florida:
If you’d like to do something more, they have downloadable toolkits available for Work, Home, and School, so that you can easily throw your own charity event on this special day.
So I urge you to donate and participate tomorrow. If you don’t know what else to do, please tune into NBC Thursday, May 26th at 9pm to watch the television special dedicated to the cause.
