I’ve talked about International Domain Names (IDNs) here in the past. Not too long ago, Japan made Japanese versions available. It was considered the first foray into an untapped world of non-Latin character domains.
Yesterday, Korea followed suit.
As an International marketer, things are becoming more interesting every day. How long will it be until all languages offer these types of IDNs locally?
Only time will tell. In the meantime, we can expect to see some local Korean webmasters adopt this as best practice.
Thanks to Verisign for leading the charge toward a truly “world wide” web.
